ISTITUTO MARANGONI

The Miami School of Fashion offers students an unprecedented opportunity for innovation, inspiration, and creativity to build a promising future within the fashion and design industry. The school is anchored by values that were ‘Made in Italy’ but also blends with the city’s unique cultural elements, such as the local emphasis on sustainability and innovation.

With a highly qualified academic team, combining European instructors and prominent local professionals, our design school in Miami offers a variety of fashion programs, including two-year Associate of Applied Science and four-year Bachelor of Fine Art degrees in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, and Fashion Business. We also offer Master of Art Degrees in Fashion & Luxury Brand Management, Digital Communication & Social Media Strategy, and Fashion Innovation & Luxury E-Commerce open to students virtually and in-person. We also have a number of professional short courses throughout the academic year in the field of Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Business, and Interior Design.

By combining the Italian way of teaching, which is very connected to hand-crafting, with the American way of doing business, the School encourages students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset where they feel confident to transform their creative ideas into real, tangible products promoting creative platforms and potential opportunities for students and alumni.

Istituto Marangoni Miami, renowned for the high academic standards and celebrity alumni base, is poised to attract the best young talent in the Western hemisphere. The institution consistently plays a key role in shaping global fashion trends and holds the merit of creating some of the biggest names in the industry, including Domenico Dolce, Franco Moschino, Alessandro Sartori (Zegna Group Creative Director), Sebastian Grey (Project Runway Winner) and more.

Hakan Baykam, president of Istituto Marangoni Miami, has identified the unique opportunity in Miami to pioneer a new fashion hub. “We were looking to create a new global fashion destination and selected Miami for its existing international allure and for its need for a firmly established fashion school. The city’s rapid growth in the design and art categories coupled with its accessibility to Latin America made it the perfect choice for us,” said Baykam. “Miami already has the groundwork for success, and we feel that a brand of Istituto Marangoni’s caliber will take the city to the next level. This campus is just the first step to developing a fashion hub that will be taken seriously around the world.”
